Espresso is far stronger than these axes allow, and no espresso target box is drawn. Extraction yield = TDS × beverage ÷ dose.
Key and notes
Key: amber box = SCA Golden Cup (18–22% yield, 1.15–1.35% TDS) · light band = SCA 310-2021 home-brewer test target (1.15–1.55% TDS) · small dot = Lockhart’s ideal (20%, 1.25%) · dotted lines = 50–70 g coffee per litre of water · black line = your brew ratio. Left of 18%: under-extracted; right of 22%: over-extracted.
On this chart the SCA 310-2021 band is the amber bar at the right edge. The zone your brew is in lights up; the zone borders are the Golden Cup limits.
Calculations only. Target box and labels from the sources cited in the caption; the boundaries are not sharp.
